With technology integration becoming a growing theme in
the healthcare industry, implementing IT solutions is a
major concern for both government agencies and hospital
facilities. MDI strives to be one of the most highly advanced healthcare risk management companies in the United States. We have an in-house software development team and database administration team available to develop solutions to difficult requests, allowing government officials and healthcare professionals to focus on the wellness of patients.
MDI is fully prepared to keep business running even if the unexpected occurs. Specifically, our state-of-the-art office park includes:
SERVERS
Our database servers use fail-over technology to ensure that our information and systems are always accessible and available. If one server goes down, the other servers take over without any data loss or downtime. This redundancy is also present in our core network switches and routers. Our phone system was built with redundant call management servers to ensure constant communications capability. We have dual access control servers and dual firewalls to maintain the integrity and security of our network data systems.
NETWORK CONNECTIONS
Our new corporate headquarters was designed and constructed to take full advantage of the latest in network technology. We are connected to the internet through a SONET “self healing” ring. If we lose connectivity, an alternate connection is created to ensure communication and contact with the outside world. Fiber connections ensure the highest throughput available for both voice and data.
GENERATOR
An on-site 1,000 kW generator can power the entire building for 10 continuous working days.
SECURITY
Your valuable and confidential data is securely protected by:
- 24/7 security monitoring via a highly sophisticated
recorded camera system and on-site security staff
- Exterior and interior doors and elevators secured by RFID proximity card readers
- Employee restricted access throughout the building
based on individual employee needs
- Visitor identification cards are electronically checked
through a national crime database
- Visitors are required to have an employee escort at all times while within the building
- Additional security measures include the most advanced intrusion prevention system, firewalls, threat analysis console, vulnerability assessments, enterprise level virus scanners, and spyware prevention systems
